Peppermint Pretzel Bark

The perfect combination of sweet, salty and pepperminty!  Super easy to make and it will make a big impression at your holiday party!  Enjoy!

1 bag of mini pretzel
2 packages white almond bark
1 package of peppermint candy canes

Line a large baking sheet with foil.  Place pretzels in a single layer on foil, trying not to over lap but keeping them close together.  Next, unwrap candy canes and place in large plastic bag.  Using a heavy spoon or meat tenderizer crush candy canes until they are small pieces (a food processor would work for this as well).  Place almond bark in a large bowl and cook in microwave for a minute, take out, stir, then place back into microwave and cook for 30 secs and stir again.  Repeat this until all the almond bark is melted and smooth.  Pour melted almond bark over pretzel trying to cover each one.  I then used a spatula to gently spread the almond bark around to try to reach all the corners.  Finally, sprinkle the crushed candle canes on top of the almond bark.  Place in fridge to harden for at least an hour.  When completely harden, remove and gently lift bark off the pan peeling back the foil.  Break into bite size pieces.  It will not need to be refrigerated, should stay firm.

  1. Could you please tell me what size package of each ingredient that you use to make this. Thank you!

    1. I used a standard size package for each ingredient. I'm not sure about your grocery store but at mine there is only 1 size of almond bark you can buy. For the candy canes, it was a box of 12 pieces and for the pretzels just a reguar , I would say medium, sized bag, you probably won't use the whole bag though. Hope this helps! :)

    2. The almond bark package that I bought the other day contains 12 cubes, & weighs 24 oz (1.5 LBS) which seems like alot to me. This was the ingredient that I was most concerned about as your recipe says it takes 2 packages. I'm looking forward to making these, but I'm still a bit undecided on this amount. If you could find out your exact amount & let me know I'd really appreciate it. Thank you for the recipe & your help. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  2. I double checked and the package size you have is the same size I used :) I know it seems like a lot but I wanted my pieces to be thicker and wanted the bark to completely cover the pretzels. If you would prefer a thinner bark then I suggest using just the one package but I don't think you'll be disappointed if you use two :) I hope you enjoy, would love to know what you think after you make it! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

  3. I finally made your recipe today & I'm very happy with it! I experimented by using a 9x13 pan. I melted half of a 24 oz. package of chocolate almond bark & poured/spread it over the layer of crushed pretzels. Then I melted half of my 24 oz. package of vanilla almond bark & layer that on top of the 1st layer, along with the crushed candy cane. It turned out very festive & pretty! Now I have enough to make another 9 x 13 pan. Thank you so much for your recipe Jillee! Merry Christmas! Judy
